Is Anyone or does anyone know a WWII, Korea, or Vietnam Vet?

I know this is a stupidly long stretch, but I really need help doing a project where I interview a vet. It can be over email, the phone, oppo, skype, anything! If you could help, id owe you big time!

Not sure where you are at but, you should look for a local VA home. I am sure a guy in a nursing home would love the company and the chance to talk to someone.

We just finished watching Band of Brothers in history class

and I dont know how anyone lived.

my great grandfather was actually one of the first to liberate the Auschwitz concentration camp. He sent over a ton of momentos and always told stories.

dad was so sad because he died a month before Band of Brothers aired and he wanted to watch it with him so badly.

My grandpa used a fake ID to join the air force and fight in WWII when he was 14. (or was it 15? Either way, super young)

I can’t remember much about what he did, though... I’ll have to ask for more stories next time I see him.

Unfortunately, he won’t be able to help you out. He and my grandma only use their computer to check the news and I’d have to teach them how to do anything else.

My grandfather was a navy medic in WWII in the pacific theatre. However he is 90 and has no clue what is going on 99% of the time. Dementia sucks.

American Legion, VFW will have plenty of people to talk to. Just show up and ask them if you can interview some folks. Tell them why. I know they will accommodate you.

This won’t help you but my neighbor when I was a kid was. I interviewed him for a school project when I was young.
